Returning to the body — to sensation, grounded presence, and to a felt sense of belonging.

Josephine is a bodywork therapist currently based in Spain. Her work is devoted to grounding — bringing awareness down into the body, into the tissues, the breath, and the bones, supporting a return to the body’s natural roots and a grounded sense of presence.

Josephine Lockyer

The fluidity and expressive depth she embodies today emerged from a deep unwinding — a dismantling of the tension shaped by competitive sport and the rigid architectures of the Western world. What she has softened and reclaimed within herself is felt directly by the bodies she touches.

Through her deep capacity for holding presence, Josephine offers a space to be truly witnessed and accepted. In her care, she supports her clients to return to their embodied intelligence, rest in sensation, and feel at home in their body.

Her practice is built on a strong anatomical understanding of the body and is grounded in her competency to feel and attend to what is present. By listening closely to the natural intelligence of the body, the mind pauses, effort softens, and sensation begins to spread. Through curiosity and presence, she invites the body to return to what is already held within.

Josephine is continually moved by the quiet intelligence and ease that emerges from this restful, grounded state.
